The Atlassian Team Tour France, held on June 4, 2024, at Station F in Paris, was an enriching experience for all participants. As an Emerald sponsor, we had the opportunity to meet Atlassian enthusiasts and share this experience with some of our experts.

On this occasion, our Atlassian expert Larbi took the time to share the highlights of this Atlassian Team Tour first edition.

Foster Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

The event brought together Atlassian experts and clients, offering a unique opportunity to share knowledge and experiences. This diversity of participants allowed for fruitful exchanges and in-depth discussions on best practices in using Atlassian tools.

One of the most enriching aspects of the event was the opportunity to meet other industry professionals. Breaks between sessions allowed for informal exchanges where we could share our experiences, challenges, and solutions using Atlassian tools.

A Breeding Ground for Innovation

Atlassian AI: A Revolution in Collaboration

One of the highlights of the Atlassian Team Tour France was the presentation of new artificial intelligence features integrated into Atlassian products. These innovations promise to transform the way teams work and collaborate:

  • Jira Service Management (JSM) Intelligence uses AI to automate ticket sorting and categorization, allowing support teams to focus on problem-solving rather than administrative tasks.
  • AI is also integrated into other Atlassian products to enhance productivity, such as automatically generating meeting summaries or task suggestions based on discussion content.

Rovo: The AI Assistant for Better Knowledge Management

An awe-inspiring demonstration was that of Rovo, an AI assistant designed to improve knowledge management within organizations:

  • Rovo can analyze and index content from Confluence, Jira, and other Atlassian tools to provide accurate answers to user questions.
  • It facilitates information search by allowing users to ask questions in natural language and providing contextualized answers.
  • Rovo also helps identify experts within the organization on specific topics, thus promoting knowledge sharing.

Confluence Whiteboard: Transform Visual Collaboration

Confluence Whiteboard was one of the stars of the event, demonstrating how Atlassian pushes the limits of visual collaboration:

  • This new feature allows teams to brainstorm, plan, and visualize ideas in a flexible and collaborative space.
  • Tight integration with Jira makes it easy to convert ideas into actionable tasks.
  • Smart sections and smart connectors facilitate bulk management of Jira issues and visualization of task dependencies.
  • Confluence Whiteboard offers a powerful alternative to physical boards, particularly suited to remote work and asynchronous collaboration.

These innovations demonstrate Atlassian’s commitment to integrating AI and visual collaboration tools to improve team productivity and creativity. The Atlassian Team Tour France truly highlighted how these new features can transform the way we work, making collaboration more intuitive, efficient, and aligned with the needs of modern teams.

Final Word

My participation in the Atlassian Team Tour France was an extremely positive experience. Not only was I able to deepen my knowledge of Atlassian tools, but I also had the opportunity to connect with other professionals who share the same interests. This event reinforced my belief that Atlassian solutions will continue to play a crucial role in improving team collaboration and productivity. The Atlassian Team Tour France was a highlight for the Atlassian ecosystem in France.

For the past decade, fintechs scaled fast by renting capability - cloud infrastructure, engineering talent, and core systems. It worked. Until it didn’t. The regulatory environment of 2026 has fundamentally closed that window. With the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) now in full force and the EU AI Act raising the bar on AI transparency, the "our vendor handles that" defense is no longer viable. Regulators don't accept it. Auditors don't accept it. And increasingly, your board shouldn't either.

But the organizations that scale fastest, protect their IP most effectively, and reduce vendor dependency over time tend to take the model further. Understanding what is an offshore development center is the starting point. Understanding why the […]
